Grundfos gets closer to important Egyptian market

08 Dec 2009

On 9 December 2009, Grundfos will open a new sales company in the capital of Egypt, Cairo. Since 2002 Grundfos has been represented in Egypt by the sales company in Dubai, UAE. During that period Grundfos has, among other things, supplied solutions within wastewater treatment for the cultivation of Egyptian agriculture as well as pumps for air-conditioning in Cairo Airport.

New premises
The development of sales activities in that country is an obvious reason for establishing a company in Cairo to ensure Grundfos will get closer to the Egyptian customers. The new premises will include operating demo units and facilities for customer training in the handling of Grundfos’ products.

Market leader
”It is our mission to be the market leader in our core markets with pump solutions and value added services. Our partners and stake holders will relieve some of the region’s most urgent challenges within water, treatment, and energy efficient solutions.” said Mike W. Otten, General manager of the new company.

Project solutions
Together with 11 fulltime staff members in Grundfos Egypt, he will focus on project solutions within Building Services, agriculture, infra structure and OEM water treatment. The new company will meet Grundfos’ business strategy of sustainable development with social responsibility.
